Healthy Lives, Leaders & Churches

We’re really excited about inviting 22 Vineyard churches throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin to come together July 12-14, for our all-encompassing family conference at the Vineyard church in Duluth!
We’ve invited Janet and Phil Strout (the new Vineyard USA Director) to come share their heart and passion as we lean into the future and all that God has for us as a Vineyard movement. Here are some of the reasons we’re so excited about our time together:
Meeting Our New Director
This will be the first time many of our churches have heard from Phil Strout, who has been appointed as the new Vineyard USA National Director, beginning in 2013. It will be a chance to experience his heartfelt vision for where we’re going as a Vineyard movement for years to come.
A Multi-generational, Integrated, Family Conference
All ages are invited and included! Bring your families! “No one gets left out, because everybody’s important. Imagine a family where everyone is valuable—the babies, the kids, the teenagers, young adults, families, over-fifties; my dream is that the Vineyard movement is integrated.” - Phil Strout. There will be age-appropriate activities for all the children who will be cared for by some of our best children’s workers in the region. We’ll invite the children in during one of our main sessions and have a meaningful time of blessing them corporately as we lay hands on each and every single child. “80% of people that come to Christ or have an open heart towards God are between the ages of 4 and 14.” - Phil Strout. There will be age-appropriate ministry times for the children, and a breakout session for junior and senior highers to have some of their own unique life issues addressed.
Other highlights will include:
On Friday afternoon, families will have the option of going out and doing ministry together as a family or with one of our street teams, learning to reach out to others in a park, on the street, serving others, praying for people outside the church, and opportunities for our teens to serve together. We’ll enjoy several meals together as families, have fantastic worship for all ages, and plenty of opportunity to receive prayer and healing. We’ll have a grand finale barbecue down on the beaches of Lake Superior with volleyball, games, food, and fun for everyone on Saturday at noon.
Phil Strout is a gifted leader and communicator in the 21st century church. He brings over thirty years of experience in the area of church planting and cross cultural mission and has been referred to as a “quintessential practitioner.” Phil is not afraid to think outside the box and to challenge you to do the same.
He is a leadership coach and author of God’s Relentless Pursuit: Discovering God’s Heart for Humanity. Phil has been the Senior Pastor of the Pathway Vineyard Church, a multi-site church in Lewiston Maine, since 2004. He has served on the board of Vineyard USA and as the regional overseer for the eastern region of Vineyard USA overseeing 65 churches from Maine to Virginia. He has recently been appointed as the National Director of Vineyard USA, which is an association of over 500 churches nationwide.
